New Kit
our house rabbit has been living in a cage for the last 2 months. we have him out under our supervision as he cant be trusted on his own, and its too hard to completely bunny proof the home. so, we decided to buy him a dog play pen. we set this up with his cage in there and now he doesnt use the cage for the toilet, but random areas of the carpet within his pen. any way to teach him to keep using his cage?

You need to slowly increase the space he has so he still recognises his toilet. The pooing everywhere is him marking his teritory.

is he already neutered? this would help to litter train him too and you need to keep putting his poop back into his litter tray and also everytime he wees put a piece of kitchen roll onto it soak it up and put that back into his tray.. you can bunny proof by removing anything he can knock over and any poisonous house plants adn put all wires into plastic tubing or hosepipe even if its just one room it gives him a lot more to do.. if he is a chewer putting lemon juice onto things often stops them doing it so much, if its digging providing a digging box and lots of toys and a bunny freind can help too ( as well as neutering to stop spraying and hormonal related behaviour x xx

ive also done ( for chewing) rubbing soap ( bar, ivory works great) and rub it on the base board and wires..its prevented mine for chewing..hope that helps
