Hey Jill, I didn't know you'd taken that picture!

He's such a cutie pie isn't he. Love Arcy (short for Archimedes).

:Did love 1 but they are a bit stinky.
They give of a musky smell. But are so sweet:love:
Seen some babies before but managed to resist

This little chap was adopted by a friend of ours who is a lovely vet student just about to qualify (sure she'll specialise in exotics especially rabbits). He only has three legs. I haven't noticed him smell too much and he does travel with her everywhere. Mind you he does have a selection of socks to snooze in (he's a marsupial for those who haven't heard about them) and apparently he goes through about 3 socks a day because of his poops. He's such a sweetie and his mummy is so good with him.

We think he looks a bit like a gremlin in the first picture.:lol:

Now I know where to send all my old socks to!! :D And I noticed that Jill was holding the sock for quite a long time today. ;)

he is adorable! Ive heard that they can quite fiesty though if you dont tame them :s or am i thinking of sommat different

Regarding the smelliness, he did poo on Jo and she had to wash her sweatshirt 'cos it did whiff a fair bit .

I was very restrained and limited myself to cuddles with Archi. Listening to his requirements, there's no way I'd get any really as I don't have the space or time to spend with them. Archis owner takes him everywhere... we were all stunned when she took him out of her pocket:lol: ...

So in all honesty, a cute little gremlin to be admired from distance.

they are goregeous, but sadly they are becoming the new 'trendy' pet from what ive gathered... just like chins and degus over the last few years. The amount of care they take is amazing... well worth it, but we all know how most pets just needing basic care end up :(
you are soooo lucky getting to see one :) i'd love to :love:

Yes you've only got to look on Preloved... there's a horrendous amount of breeding pairs for sale for £300 upwards :(. Like you say, they're the latest trend, so, so sad.

On Wikipedia it says that there are more sugar gliders than guinea pigs as pets in the USA. They are illegal to keep in California and Pennsylvania for some reason, but quite popular everywhere else.
