Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

lack of poop?

ab1063

Warren Scout
recently miffys been eating just as much, if not more.
but i'de say pooing less.she gets all the hey in the world and a reasonabley high amount of pelleted food.

could something be up with her?

Are her poos very small too?
Is she drinking a normal amount (for her) and does she get lots of exercise?

Less poo and/or small poo is indicative of reduced gut motility. There are several causes of this including lack of fibre in the diet, dental problems, lack of exercise, not drinking enough, stress/pain...........

I would ask your Vet to check Miffy over as its always best to err on the side of caution.

:)

nope her poos are very big, in comparison to teddys.
and arn't any smaller than ever before for her.
shes drinking plenty and has a lot of hey (which give fibre right?)

shes quite lazy though.. so that could be the lack of diet thing?
she isn't overweight, infact i think shes slightly underweight:S

How old is she?

If she is eating a lot but not maintaining body condition then there could be some malabsorbtion issues.

What colour are her poo's? If you break them open are they slightly moist and full of hay?
