  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Vibes for Milly U/D She's home!!

Can you all start stock piling some mega vibes for Milly? She's being spayed tomorrow and I'm feeling really edgey about it. The thing is, we are unsure of her age..We think she is at least 3 and could even be 4 or 5. Suzetta saw her on Thursday and says she's in fab condition now and that if I intend to have her spayed then I shouldn't delay any longer. I've never felt as nervous as this when I've taken other buns in for the op....

Ok..send those vibes into overdrive now as I'm getting ready to drop her off at the vet for 8.45. I'm really worried that I'll be getting a call later to say there's a problem..:(

Just a few minutes until I can call the vet for a progress report. I've not heard anything from them so far so I'm assuming that they found nothing untoward during the spay...touching wood frantically while typing this!!!!

I'm going now to collect our big girlie.:D:D I wish she could have had a "nip and tuck" done on her dewlap at the same time as K had suggested, but Suzzetta said she didn't feel confident about doing the procedure. Still, at least she was upfront about it:) I'll take pics as soon as she's back safe and sound. She'll be back in the nero crate for at least 24hrs and in the hall which is warmer than the back bedroom..so any newbies seeing it please don't thinkthe small crate is her perm residence:lol::lol:

She's fine, and doesn't seem to realise that she's been"done":D As soon as she was in the Nero she went straight for the hay and is still munching.

Ive only just seen this Hilda, sorry haven't been on much lately.I'm so glad Milly is OK she is such a lovely girlie:love::love:
