pregnant ?

hi everyone
i got my first house rabbit (flick) 16 days ago:D, he was sold to me as a boy but i'm starting to get a little concerned because he seems to have put a lot of weight on and tonight i noticed his stomach really moving ( like the film alien it was that obvious. flick couldn't be a girl could he? a pregnant one ?:?
thanks in advance for any advice

very probable he could be a she and if housed with other males. Is flick making any nests or showing any agression? How old is flick?

does dont normally show any physical signs of being pregnant although their are some who will look abit round on the belly! but ive never heard of anyone seeing movement though :?

how old is she? wasshe housed withother males?

obvious signsof pregnancy are normally aggresion towards you i.e lunge when you place your hand near her.

take herto the vets tobe sexed properly rabbit savvy vets may be able to palpate for babies aswell.

i got flick from a farm in birmingham, he/she isn't aggresive at all he's very cuddly , he started to chew and scratch the carpet but isn't that just normal bunny behaviour? , she said he was 14 weeks when i got him so would be 16 weeks now, he was housed with one other bunny which was also supposed to be male

Scratching is completely normal, however I would get him/her checked out at the vets anyhoo, would strongly suggest getting Flick vaccinated and neutered as well so good idea to have a chat to your vets while you get the sex checked out x

he's due at my local vets the weekend for his jabs so i'll get him to check flick over, the vet sais he'd have to be six months old before he could be neutered, what could the stomach movement be if not pregnancy, you need to see it to believe how much it moves

That doesn't seem normal...I've seen plenty of pregnant bunnies, occasionally even felt their tummies very carefully and never noticed movement at all :?

he's eating and pooing normaly no change at all, when i was fussing him last night i could hear popping sounds from his stomach :? maybe its trapped wind

good news :D flick is definatly a boy he got his first vaccine and a full health check at the vets and is in tip top condition, maybe the stomach thing was the same as the human male problem of wind
