They will get ink all over themselves if they wee! Can you put a litter tray in there? Could you put down old towels?
Newspaper will be fine I think but they may well rip it up!

I put newspaper down when my girls were in my room. They did tear it a bit, but they didn't eat it, and ink these days doesn't run onto animals.

They have only got their litter tray and haven't caught on 100% yet lol I've used towels and my mum doesn't want me too anymore... I might sneak one... lol

could you pen an area off and put newspapers down in that? it might be difficult to cover the whole room :?
