Apologies they're a bit fuzzy...must ask Father Christmas for a nice new camera!

Eddie is feeling much better (now over 1.8kg, I hope he stops gaining soon :shock:) so he has much more energy...

Yeah I remember reading that :lol: I have been keeping an eye on him, he hasn't made any attempt at the cat ones, although he did plop both his feet in the water fountain :roll:

I can confirm that the camera was strategically placed to ensure you couldn't see the mountains of untidy things just out of shot :lol:

I think Louise is back on the first; she'll be pleased to see him looking so great.

Yeah I hope so, when you see them every day I think you sometimes don't appreciate how much they've changed, so it'll be interesting to see what Lou thinks after a fortnight :)

Thank goodness! There was lots of clear floor space even so - you'll need to watch that! :?...
 
Awww have you swapped him for another bun :shock: he looks great...1.8 that is some impressive weight gain. How are his eyes now?

You have done a great :shock:job with him Alison, can't wait to see him in the fur :D

And your house is exceedingly tidy...unless you shove everything in cupboards before I come round :? :lol:
 
His eyes are not too bad, he's pretty stable now - there's still a little goo needs wiping away a couple of times a day but it's really not much. His eyes are both fully open all the time now and the swelling has pretty much all gone :) He is still on the antibiotics though, it does seem to need both the systemic and the eye drops to keep it under control at the moment.

...and yes, just to dispel the illusion, next time you're here I'll open a couple of cupboards for you :lol:
 
Thought it was about time I posted some new pics of Eddie :D

He's doing incredibly well, his weight is now nice and stable and he is definitely a real little monkey now he is feeling better :lol: Fingers crossed it won't be too long before he will be ready to rehome - although he will undoubtedly need an experienced owner who recognises that he is likely to have ongoing eye problems and will need regular antibiotics. It would be great if he could be settled in his new forever home by Christmas :)

My vet Simone, Kris' vet Rose, the ophthalmic specialist, and now the Bristol Rabbit Clinic, are all scratching their heads over whether there is anything more can be done to improve his eyes...we suspect not but at least all avenues will have been explored. He is likely to need ongoing antibiotic treatment - at the moment he is on engemycin injections and fucithalmic eye drops.

Awww, he's looking beautiful - look at that pile of fur though! I bet he feels a lot lighter now. :lol::lol: I really hope Eddie can find a forever home very soon. :)

I am very attached to this little chap and cannot express how lovely Eddie is....if there is anyone who feels they can offer him the kind of home he so deserves please get in touch with Alison or Kris...

I am still trying to convince Dave we have room for one more but it isn't working :cry: :roll:
 
Eddie's big adventure took on a new turn today as he has just been dropped off on his new home :) He sat in Aunty Lou's lap all the way there and groomed her coat nicely :) and we left him doing happy flops in his new temporary pre-bonding abode :)

Hopefully Eddie's new owners will keep us supplied with photos and updates (HINT HINT CHARGE THE CAMERA! ;) )
