Please help Runny Poo Problem?

Young Bun
Hi all please could you help us. We have a 13week old netherland dwarf bunny. After buying him we tried to ween him onto Burgess Juniour dwarf pellets ( as he was selective eating ) after days of trying to get him to eat a singly pellet he started to eat them and we are slowy introducing them in his other mix. The only problem is he now has random runny poo! He has plenty of normal poo and 2 or 3 larger longer slighty soft poo a day! Not sure if its diarrehoa or not. He still seems happy and very hungry! Should we take him off pellets ? after all the effort of getting them on him?!
Thanks for help

The 2 or 3 larger poos sound like excess cecals. From a distance they might look like sausges but up close more like a sausage shape bunch of grapes, if that makes sense.

That might be due to him having too much protein/not enough fibre. That can come from both selective eating and also too many pellets. Maybe look to get him completely on the pellets and then adjusting the amount so that you can give him the most you can but without the excess cecals (but as he grows this will need constant adjustment).

Were there just two types of poo (so normal poo, and the 'larger longer slighty soft poo') or was there a different type too (such as diarrhoea), sorry, I got confused (that happens easily, lol).

Thanks for the quick reply! When u say get him on the pellets totally do u mean keep weening him (only been doing so since thursday) or just completely feed him pellets.
And yes thats very similar to what they look like but only one or two. The others are longer softer log like (sorry to be so crude!!) Never anything Runny/watery just some a little mushy!! Again only a max of maybe 4 a day!
Thank you for helping!

They do sound like excess cecals. With any change of food it needs to be done slowly, so keep the transition going, and when it is complete, then start to adjust the amount so it works for him.
