Young Bun
Not sure where to put this

I am desperatly seeking an older male bunny 5+ as my female 7yrs, neutured and vacs has just lost her friend, and really needs a partner for the winter.

Willow came to be as an agressive un bondable bunny, but well she has turned into a sweetie so temperament is not too important, she just really needs a friend

I have PM'd a few people, and have had a look in the buns needing home section but cant seem to find anything, any help gratefully recived

ps she is an outside bunny with an 8x8fenced area joind to a 6x3 fenced area via a tunnel with a large hutch in each run

attached in some pics of willow
thankyou sophie

yup tried and sent a few emails but nothing close, and the ones i was interestd i got a reply sayin they couldnt be bonded or were already :( i really am struggling, have been to local rescue centres but all are 3 and below or already paired :(

Aww :( Something that I've considered doing, which might work, is posting somewhere looking for an older bunny that someone's kids have gotten bored of; or perhaps get in touch with a breeder that has an ex-breeder that you could neuter and bond with Willow?

it is hard..you could also think of having her paired with another speyed female? this combination does work sometimes. i would speak to various rescues and see if they have older buns if you could take her to try to meet some to gauge her reaction. good luck oldies are the best my chelsea is 10yrs...her freind is a female 9years i bonded them earlier this year.xx

I was thinking of a female her previous partner was a female, but its less liekly to work and then i would have to a trio lol

has anyone got any contacts of breeders i could try?

i woudl be doubtful about trying exbreeders as they wont have any speyed females or unlikely to have vaccinated rabbits most will retire their rabbits age 3years and get rid of so would be younger than you are looking for. a rabbit who is slower due to disability might be another good choice as they wouldnt be so bouncy

I dont even mind about vet bills really, just dont want a baby as she is an old girl now, just seeing her lonely, might have to go for a younger bun :(

if anyone does here of an older male 5+ i dont mind neuturing him looking for a new home up to 2hrs from cambridgshire think of me lol

Check with Caroline at Rabbit Residence. She doesn't always put all her bunnies on, or Louise at Hopper Haven who has 170+ bunnies.

I have been in regular contact with caroline at the rabbit residence and unfortunately she has no elderly single males at the moment as that is what i have been looking for.

She does have a 9 year old female french lop called chloe, but all her other elderly buns are either paired up or reserved.

thankyou i have sent emails, but 3 are house buns only, just waiting for the people to get back to me about bobble

so keep eyes out for a transport help, hopefully poor wizz is getting lonely

was thinking maybe i could offer to foster a male from a rescue?

I enquired about bobble. He is 4 years old and is very quiet and doesn't eat much hay. He is looking for a very quiet laid back lady :)

I didn't think my old girl was suitable for him
