Me and my OH would really like to help out on some weekends if anyone wants us? I don't really know how you go about volunteering so not sure how it works but we'd really like to help out in any way :)

Oh yea thanks. do you know if they would be flexible with hours because sometimes we may not be able to work on the weekend?

Its ok, no im not sure sorry, why dont you give them a ring or something? :) x

I searched rabbit rescuse in bristol and came up with this

http://www.cottontails-rescue.org.uk/

But i dont think it is in bristol :? x
My vet said there is a good rabbit rescue in bristol, but she didnt say the name :(

Given you are voluntary and giving up your time, they would have to be flexible. My RSPCA are very flexible. You just turn up, do what you do, and then say when you are next able to go in. I would imagine that anyone you volunteer for would appreciate whatever time you were able to give up, and not get funny if you couldn't give up the same amount of time each week.

There are lot of other ways to help without taking buns, as you know, so don't worry about that :). There are a variety of ways that you can help that are even more flexible, for example I do the home visiting for anyone wanting to adopt a rabbit for the RSPCA, that means I can fit it around anything else I have to do. Equally places like that always need help with cleaning, socialising, etc. Just give a ring round and see if anyone needs some help.

I tried Bristol Cat and Dog home as they keep buns but they never replied. :(

I went there yesterday and asked if they needed any help but they said they dont have volunteers to clean out the hutches, they only wanted dog walkers so I went up there today to walk a dog instead lol. I also stood in the bun section for about half an hour looking at them all and thinking ...mmm maybe i could make my pair a trio

We don't need any help at the moment, but will keep you in mind for when we're full if thats any help? Will also ask a couple of friends who run rescues if they need any help :thumb:
