Lea - Molly's mum
Warren Scout
Hi everyone,
When we went to pick Molly up from being bonded to Alfie (AKA. Tommy) last night, Jane said she thought Molly had E.cuniculi as she seems to be incontinent which has led to sore hocks.
We took her to the vets this morning and when the vet examined her stomach he found a large solid mass. He said it was likely to be a very large tumour (too big to do anything with) or impacted guts. SHe has been spayed and is only 3 (and had a check-up 6 months ago when she had her jabs) so he thought the tumour was unlikely BUT he couldn't break down the lump which he said he would have been able to do if it was impacted guts.
He has given us some liquid parafin to give to her twice a day and we have to go back on Monday to see if the lump has softened any. If not then it might mean an X-ray - but even then he emphasized the point that they might not be able to do anyhthing even with thex-ray info.
She isn't off her food (actually she is a VERY greedy girl), still cleans herself and acts normally - which he couldn't believe given how big the lump is.
Any advice anyone? Has anyone experienced something similar? We don't know what to do.
Thank you.
Lea.
