Why do bunnies binky?

~ Cat ~

Wise Old Thumper
Hi folks.

I love to see Lola binky, sometimes I wish I could just run around the garden binkying but dont want to scare the neighbours - but why do they do it? What does it mean?

Thank you!

I think it just means they are happy and excited - like "jumping for joy" - (but we are all too self conscious to do that ourselves!)

Hannah :)

Personally I think it's to do with escaping from predators. When running away from something it's useful to do a very fast turn and head in another direction and I think when they do a binky they are practising this type of thing.

Yep they are play practising  The same way in which cats will play by catching toys or chasing things :) x
