warm ears... vs cold ears

does warm ears mean they are releasing heat?

rosie's ears are always cold

i dunno. the biys' ears are cold when theyre in their hutch but warm after theyve had a run around in the living room

this is what got me wondering

if you can feel warmth from something, then heat is being transferred from the "something" to your hand, so yes.

i find that my buns ears usually show what temperature they are but if you are really worried about fluctation in temperature check by putting your fingers down into the fur against their skin. warm ears for my buns means tehy are warm where as cold ears means they are getting colder as they are using the heat else wherer to keep internal body warm a bit like we might get cold nose.. we arent ill but its because we are using the heat elsewhere.
