  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

advice again please!

Tj is doing well since yesterday. see link http://forums.rabbitrehome.org.uk/showthread.php?t=146297 He is eating drinking pooing normally and peeing. He has occasionally started to sneeze. It is a very quiet sneeze not wheezy or chesty that he has done twice this morning. There is no discharge from nose or eyes but as we now know he has dental problems. He is already on antibiotics (started yesterday) and is due to see the vet on monday. Should I be worried? His bedding is vetbed and hay but isn't dusty. It is from a different place than normal though and he is staying inside at the moment whereas he normally lives in the garage. Could it be this or stress from yesterday? Although he is very comfortable normally when he's inside. Any advice would be again appreciated. . . I am a bit jumpy cause of yesterday:roll:

I don't think you have anything to really worry about. If there's no sign of discharge or heavy breathing, i'd assume that he was having a normal everyday sneeze like what we have. It could have something to do with the dental problems, but as your seeing the vet pretty soon and that he is already on antibiotics, you shouldn't be too worried.
Hope this helps :)
