Mini lop making funny noises

My newly acquired mini lop makes a funny noise something like when you hold a blade of grass between your thumbs & blow on it.
He does it when he gets out for a run or wants picked up.
Is this normal?
Is it because hes happy?
Does anyone elses bun make this noise?
or is it something to be worried about?
