yes...pretty much all deciduous trees except cherry, plum, oak and laburnum I think. I generally stick to fruit trees (excluding plum & cherry of course) to be on the safe side & we also have a 60ft beech hedge which gets a regular pruning.
 
cherrys and plum may contain traces of cyanide. Small amounts are fine (my lots run is sometimes put under a cherry with no ill effect) but eating large amounts especially of damaged/diseased leaves could cause serious harm.

Also cultivated cherry probably less harmful that the wild black cherry which is an absolute no no but it's almost impossible to tell which are the OK cultivars and which are not.
