Loosing Fur

Hi.

My Bramble is loosing his fur down his back. I am not sure if it is serious or if he is just moulting. There is short fur underneath the fur that has come out but it is just one section of his back at the moment. :(

I don't want to take him to the vets in case I am just being silly and he is moulting. :)

Any help?? Thanks x

I'm no expert but it sounds like possibly moulting. My bun has has had this too. I kept an eye on him for itching and flaky skin just in case it was mites.

That's how our lionhead moults. It's like he has a tidemark which moves down every time we groom him. He's down to a couple of small stubborn patches on his sides and bum now :)

sounds like a good ole moult to me if no bare patches or flakey skin then dont worry if there is (bald patches or and flakey skin) then take to vet for ivermetican(sp?) for mite treatment xx

It sounds like moulting. My three lops are horrific at the moment. I cant get the bloody stuff off my b****y rug!!!!
