teresa your kitty looks just like our very first cat when he was a kitty....we moved and he went off and got run over on the motorway aged 10 months old...its that awful experience which made me then over protective of my next two kittens..and then the htird..tabbys baby. When we moved again and the cats were 8 we got our first house bun and i can tell you taby and her were hunting each other and boxed each other like hares..only when tabby was being starved for gut probs and got hungry and kibbles retaliated by hiding and when tabby was eating ok and ignoring her shed sneak up on ehr and beat her up..when tabby was ill shed pester her..like naughty siblings...but kibbles had a close relationship with tabbys brother she took cae of him right up to the hour he died.....and she never recovered form losing him and died almsot 2 motnhs later. she was extremeely close to my timid little cat....they were very similar indeed.....
but ive known people whos cats have eaten their buns etc....its all trial and error and how well you know your pets....
id say get a kitty or a young cat they tend to be easier to mould or gel with the buns.....when we had these two bif was terrified for about 5 mins..then her mothering kicked in..bertie was misisng his cat friends and dog friend from his old home so having 2 kittens made his madness he liked complete!!
id say caramel is looking and saying..ere..id watch it if i were you..put a paw wrong and youre kitty flavoured rabbit kibble:lol::lol::lol:
i love they are so close..must post pic of salem in the hutch upstairs!
if you go to the rescue they may have a very nervous indoor kitty which my boo basicallyw as..she hated going outside..and she was 7 and took to kibbles right off..she even taught that rabit how to open the bathroom door to get our attention
they never ever fought..yet bumble didnt liek our second bunny i seem to find the cats are more wiling to be alongside lops but uppy eared buns get their juices flowing...or maybe zuzu thinks bandit is her pet! whenevr she gets too mad bandit has a go at her and she legs it..she plays rough with willow andwillow plays back shes got respect for bertie who she thinks is her daddy..bif she regards as her mummy and bandits this wierd little thing that liked following her aorund...before he was done ahem...
nervous cats shy cats respond to a friendly bunny....it helps them bondwith another creature and calm them down..or in bumbles case make kibbles scared of the dark and spiders:shock:
just put the buns aay safely overnite and when your out...dont take chances if you canhelp it or like in our hosue the cats are second class bunnies rule!!
some folks have dogs who get on fine with their buns too.....berties best mate and companion was a dog who was a stafie boxer cross hwo was 5 and he was 18 months old when he came here and he missed her badly and the 5 cats he lived with. animals are like people...yiu can never tell!!
