  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Young Bun
ok so we found another rabbit just outside are garden , weve advertised rang up vets but no one has claimed him so we are guessing it has came from the same family that my other one came from down the round they are terrible with the pets. theyv had kittens, rabbits even a tiny spaniel puppy at xmas and they just get bored n put them out side to fend for themselves by a road!. i didnt steal the 1st rabbit in case anybody thinks that the neighbor explained that they always do it and that originally there was 2 bunnies and a gpiggy but we only found one :(

i haven't got a clue how old simbad is but im guessing he is quite young weve had him about 2 weeks now and he seems to have grown . but the issue is he had one up one down ear. and today i went into his room to see him and there are both down? now they are quite big ears and hes only got a little head , he tried to lift it up when i put him in the run. do you think their just too heavy or has he got a infection he seems his normal loving self :?

thanks
xx

when i first got kermit he had one up and one down ear, over time, the up one came down.....i think it just happens.

Have a look inside your rabbits ears anyways, see if they look clean and free from wax.....i think if they look ok then it will be just part of growing up
