Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Hi everyone!

I was just wondering whether anyone could recommend a good vet who's in the know about rabbits in the Wigan area or surrounding areas?

Thanks

Hi,

There is a very good Vet in Liverpool, I am not too far from you in Warrrington, and this vet was recommended to me by one of Rabbit Welfare recommended Vets in Manchester.

He deals with reptiles as well, he save my bunnies life, if you need anymore information let me know.

Hi Carole, Thanks for your reply.

Yes I'd be very interested to know the details of the vet in Liverpool that you use. Out of interest, could you also let me know which vet was recommended in Manchester also please? It may be that, depending on the area in Manchester, it may be closer to me than Liverpool you see.

Thanks for your help :)
