  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

petplan won't cover my buns for dental work - how did you manage that? mine are dental buns and have dentals on a regular basis :(

Ive with petplan they paid out promptly when Munch went into stasis :D Supposedly got dental as well, but not where it would be on the policy

Petplan paid out for mollys first dental - but now they know she has a dental problem - every 3 months, they won't pay anymore.

Is any one getting paid for all there bunnies dentals?

Did they have dental problems before the cover began?

My lilly had a little dental work on her first checkup so she won't be covered, but Roo was fine so she should be.

i have pinnacle pet insurance.they do exactly the same policy as petplan for the same amount of money except they give you an annual voucher of £25 to go towards vouchers.

That's a brilliant idea!

Petplan and Petprotect are also good insurers. I haven't had major problems with either of them.

hi

We dont have insurance as with them being rescues and winnie having feet problem the insurance companys were wanting nearly £20 a month and that would not cover feet. Which was **** we only spend £20 every 3 months on his medicine. So we save ourselves we put £20 each month away. Only problem is if you have an emergency you may not have had enough saved up.
So it is best to get insured asap that way they have to cover everything.
