Mama Doe
I just cannot stop thinking about what happened yesterday...
When I caught Hunny months ago (my first bunny, she was wandering loose around the streets), I got some help from 3 lads that were younger and faster then me. I thanked them, gave them some pocket money and said they were welcome to visit Hunny if they wanted.
Well, this one lad, kinda attached himself to us. He lives with his nan, says he doesn't have a mum or dad, etc. He has tried to push my husband out and worm his way into our family, interrupting our mealtimes, asking me to cook for him, asking me for pocket money as his nan is 'short' this week, etc.:?
Well, he hadn't seen him for a few weeks, then he turned up yesterday.
Whenever he comes around, he wants to climb in the run, and the buns get upset, so I put a stop to this. I put the padlock on the run when he is here, and put a new padlock on the back gate in case he comes to the back gate.
Anyway, he came round yesterday, as I was getting ready to go out with my sisters. He said "I reckon you've got too many rabbits, and technically one of them is mine anyway, as I caught her." He wanted Hunny!
I tried to patiently explain the costs involved in having a rabbit, while firmly explaining that Hunny is my rabbit and she's going nowhere. In response to the neuter/vaccinate/clean daily/healthcheck/vets, lecture, he said "Oh, I wouldn't bother with all that, what about those ones..." he pointed at Maggie and Nicholas and asked if they were neutered and vaccinated and said "I'll have one of them then.":shock:
Thank goodness I'd padlocked the runs, cos he started trying to figure out the combination and said he'd wait until I left it unlocked and help himself!
I know he's just trying to upset me, and that he thinks that's the normal way to behave, but I could've swung for him! Now I'm so paranoid, I couldn't stop thinking about it all night while I was out. I'm sooo angry with him!
