Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Myxi update and Fights on Eric and Ernie

Hello Again everybody,
Thank you again for everyones advice last night - really helpful.

Just to let you know that all went well with the vets and the Myxi Jabs Today. The Boys behaved themselves thankfully.:)

Also, boys had 3 fights yesterday::( one in the garden, one in their run (1st time) and one in their hutch overnight,(also 1st time) with one of their ears being bitten. Vet says no need to be concerned about the bite!
They have had a few fights recently, but never 3 in one night, so will be taking them to be neutered in 4 weeks time ( VHD in 2 weeks).

So it is with great regret that I have had to buy another hutch and run today and seperate them.
I feel really sorry for them now as they look so lonely, especially the smaller one, as he loves his brothers company so much. But, I can't let them get stressed any more (or me) about the fights.
can anyone tell me please, will I be able to bond them after the neutering.
I will let them see each other and keep their runs next to each other.

I will miss seing them cuddling up together and grooming each other.

Have I done the right thing? ;)

Thanks again

Jessica Rabbit (and Eric and Ernie) x

I think you have done the right thing. If it was only a little fighting then it will be easier to rebond them than if you had let them have really big fights where one got injured. Just follow the usual advice of neutral territory etc :)

Thanks Timboh

I mightjust come back for more advice after the ops!

Such a learning curve I'm on at the moment - so much to do and look out for.
Loving it all though.
