I've read in various places that bunnies can eat nettles. We have a few in our garden that I would like to feed but just wanted to double check it!!! Is it just common fresh nettles???? I know they have tough little mouths but I'm still a bit dubious!! Has anyone fed nettles before?

My bunnies help themselves to the nettles growing in my garden, do wonder why they don't sting their little pink tongues though:?

Thanks for that! We do have an abuldance of other food but didn't want to deprive them of something yummy!!!

yes bubns love nettles... oh and they are safe for humans too rather than traditionally boiling them into a soup tho try lighting a fire and wilting them it takes out the sting and is apparently a better taste!

if you pick them a certain way they won't sting you, so maybe its the same for buns? Try making nettle wine-really good!-Sue:wave:
