  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

.... how long Baytril stays in bunny's system for???

I want to put Mum back in with the kids... last shot was Thursday

Thanks x

On the bottle ( 5% Baytril Injection ) it says the withdrawl period is 14 days for cattle

Is she still producing milk? As the babies are 8 weeks it might be a good idea to take this opportunity to wean them and give her a rest :?

Think she was up to Thursday, you are right, she needs a rest, all poos now lovely and solid and golden :D Its just that she is a dog crate in my spare room at the mo and I feel sorry for her - can't remember when her owners are back from hols :? Crate is 4tf but can't let her out as its full of dangerous things (its also my painting studio though not painted for a while so no fumes)

BTW as you mention cattle, i had to sign some forms at my vet on thurs to say i'm ok with them using meds that are not licensed for buns - apparently most of them aren't :?
