  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

My wee man is not impressed with me or my boyfriend. He was taken to the vet this morning for the snip. He is back home and eating well and passing pellets fine. He is away to a rescue in a few weeks to hopefully find a girlfriend. ;) A lovely lady keeps a rescue over in fife says she would be happy to help him bond to a nice spayed girl at her rescue. :D

Bless! Sounds like he's recovering wonderfully. I think boy buns can still be fertile up to 4 weeks after the snip, you might have to check this out.

Have you got any pics of him? :)

heres the photo of him when I first brought him home at 8 weeks old. Hes now over 15 weeks and quite a bit bigger now. ;) Still super cute tho.... :D

Im hopeless with colours and breeds, could some tell me please. :D

He looks lovely  almost like my Hiro..

Hiro is still only 8 1/2 weeks old, but was told he was a mini lop (I'm guessing his ears will lop soon).

Not sure what breed your bun is, but he's very sweet :)
