I'm about to stock up on hay for my mini lop, i've heard that some can be too rich for a dwarf breed. Can someone recommend either Timothy hay or Alfalfa hay? I don't know what I should go for..
i have several types and give a few together at the same time, something called foriage which is short cut and just ordinary long timothy hay in small amounts so it doesnt get entwined round the legs
dust free hay company deliver & are very reasonable in bulk (i.e. their large bales or 10 smaller ones). The solft or stalky meddow hay usually goes down very well or get timothy if you prefer.
Don't give them alfafa.....it is bunny junk food and once given it's hard to get them to like anything else. Very high in protein and calcium.
