  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Panacur - Pets At Home

Sorry if this has been posted before but Pets at Home are selling Panacur for 5.99. Way cheaper than my vets (but more expensive than Vet UK).

 is that across the board now or are some people still being trained up to have it in stock?

A lot of the stores are up and running now. They're becoming qualified and the premises approved quite quickly. Some stores such as mine only have one qualified person (moi) which can be as nuisance, but we're getting there :)

ooh, super! do you have to ask for it then? or is it on the shelves? do you have to ask 20 million questions like the vet receptionist did to ryan when he went to get a tube?! he felt interougatted! (er, can't spell that!)

it'll be easier for me to pop there than the vets which is good. i hate buying things of the internet!

You will be spoken to like you're a kiddie who doesn't know what you're doing.......it will certainly feel like an interrogation and I can bet you'll be suspicious when we ask for your name and address ;) heh heh

 people in each store are being trained to be able to stock it so it may be that yours doesn't have someone trained up yet.
