Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

hi got a bit of a silly question! my darling bun gave birth to 5 babies on 12 may , have been checking daily and mum is feeding well very happy to come out to play in the garden her usual routine, babies are growing Very fast! they have all got the fur , eyes all open, and they seem to be sooo big! mum is a small bun but dad bun was bigger bun, my question is are my baby buns growing normally? they seem to be very big! have had several buns since childhood and loads of piggy's but not any baby buns. thanks melindax

I have some baby buns too. I was fostering their pregnant mum for a rescue.
The babies are now 4 weeks old and yes they grow amazingly fast, suprised me too.

Well if the dad was bigger then the babies might get larger than their mom too. I once heard of a lop dwarf doe who got mated by a French lop, by the time they were 8 weeks old the babies were almost as big as her:roll:
You be glad they're growing, I lost 8 out of 12 babies to undernourishment as my first-time mother had far too many kits:cry: (The remaining four ended up growing rather fast once they started eating themselves though:roll:)
