I know it sounds horrible and there are mixed feelings about it but Barney has had this done a few times and he has never seemed bothered by it. Just give him loads of cuddles when you get her back :D

Our very rabbit savvy vet does conscious dentals all the time where possible to avoid having the use GA. They use a dental gag to keep the mouth open and it only takes minutes this way. Much less risk of stasis.

thank you for the calming my fears..i was over worried as she gets gi stasis whenever stressed and she halready has the start and i thought shed get worse cos of it. She was indeed panicky when i got her back and so was her travelling companion bandit....
but theyve been unseperable since i got them back..theyre both in bifs cage and spending the night in it...well it is 3am ish!!
she got in her cage took a quick look aorund relaised bandit was staying then promptly ate ehr bun food well a little anyway!!!!

shes been eating drinking and eating hay dried grass..curly kale and shes doing tiny poops but loads more..and shes been washing her dewlap with gusto...she is halfway thru the stain now!

im amazed...just wished id had my fears allayed..or was it a case of i didnt want to!

oh and what a price diff.....17 yesterday for consult...todays cost..9:shock:

mind oyu he did say if they were really really bad hed have to put her under to do it so they werent as bad as when shes had dentals before..phew....

shes been very relaxed this evening..snoozing almost on her back in her cat litter tray..bandit has one too and they share or snooze seprately for a little while..she lay there for over 15mins showing me her tummy!

aww to see her so bright is wonderful..def the teeth that were affectin g her..
