Ear infections in Humans

As many of you know I had life saving brain surgery 4 years ago
when I woke up after a 7 hour operation I told the nurses I had ear ache.My head didnt hurt as the scalp has no nerves. In the year after that I had 9 ear infections and at the moment I am suffering very badly with one blocked ear and the other ear is sore.It isnt wax the doctor said it is just an ear infection,I have had two lots of antibiotics and 2 lots of drops and at the moment I am being treated with antifungal drops until I see a specialist on Friday.
Has anyone else suffered with ear infections? My ear that feels blocked is so annoying.I am scared that there will be nothing they can do for me and I will have to suffer this forever. When I am at work I cannot hear the children very well as they have very soft voices.I feel like I am in my own little world and this present ear infection i have had for 34 days :cry:When I was 4 I had my tonsils out and gromits put in my ear

I had them when I was younger, but (touch wood) I haven't had them since. I hope you feel better soon.

No but my 10mth old has had two perforated ear drums since Easter and has screamed in agony beforehand both times. He's still always prodding and poking now but the GP won't give him anything :(

Hope it clears up soon for you.
