  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

I'm sure someone noticed something like this on their bun recently, possibly was Scamp (wild bun of Tamsin)... will see if I can find the thread...

EDIT: Nope, sorry I don't think it was Tamsin and cannot find the one I was thinking of in the search. I'm sure there was a photo on the post too and it turned out to be a glad of some sort. But best go to the vets to have it checked out :)

Gabriel has one too, my vet didn't know what it was either  I think we decided it must be a cyst and just to keep an eye on it.

oh right.it isnt any bigger n doesnt seem to bother her.ill leave it till monday n if its any bigger or redder ill take her the vets, ive rang them n they arent sure wat it could be.x

My bun had one on his ear when i got him - it's just a hard lump within the ear, not sore, even when squeezed and hasn't changed in size or anything. I've noticed he has a tiny one on another part of his ear and although I keep an eye on it, I don't see any cause for concern.

Would be interested in what your Vet has to say on it though.

:)

hya rang my local vets n he said as long as it doesnt get any bigger or inflamed then its nothing worry about.hes seen quite afew buns with them n there nothing.which is a relief.x
