White stuff in the fur around my mini rex's genitals?

Hi everyone, I have 4 month old mini rex buck. During a daily inspection, my wife noticed white stuff around his genitals. We noticed a week before that he had a sore around his genitals and we treated him for that. The sore has healed, however the white stuff still remains.

Any ideas on what this is and how to treat it?

Thanks.

I'm unsure of what it could be. They don't look like flies eggs? you have to be very carefulin this warm weather of flystrike. What was the sore caused by? To be honest they shouldn't get sores around their genitals anyway if they are well so I think maybe your bun should visit a vet if it hasn't already? Can you post pics of the white stuff? It may help someone here identify it. x

If he had a sore there previously it could be pus in which case he needs to see a vet urgently. It is possible for a sore to heal on the surface while there is still infection underneth, especially if the sore wasn't seen by a vet initailly. Another possibility is it could be related to his scent glands and as Faye said it could also be fly eggs.

Either way I would get him checked out pretty quickly especially in this hot weather
