New Kit
Hello:wave:
my name is kevin and im new to this forum. I will soon be getting a netherland dwarf rabbit or a mini lop. I currently live in louisville kentucky.

Today, i was looking online and looking at the ingredients for timothy hay.
I wanted to know which hay is better. this is their guaranteed analysis:

Guaranteed Analysis:

Crude Protein (min.) 9.0%
Crude Fat (min.) 1.8%
Crude Fiber (max.) 35.0%
Moisture (max.) 12.0%

it is both timothy hay. I just want to know which hay is better. i don't want my rabbit to get obeise.

Also, which food brand to you reccomend for me that i can get at pet stores?

i would say number two, but as they both are very high in fibre id let the bunny decide its not going to make much difference... the one he/she likes the taste of will get eaten more..

i actually didnt realise hays had different fibre contents till the other day when i was reading the bags of all my different types :oops:

i feed a different variety of hays so the buns dont get bored.. oat and brome hay seem to be very popular, i also feed timothy and meadow hay :)

cant wait to see pics of your new bun :wave:
