Don't know the answer, but interesting question. The shell is much like a piece of wood, so I guess it would make good teeth-wearing material?

I know it's slightly different but i've had coconut shells for my gerbils,rats,hamsters to sleep in with bedding and they are alright with it.

I was wondering this too

Mostly just found the question on google but did find a passing positive mention to using them here:

w*w.helium.com/items/1309627-fun-toys-you-can-make-for-your-pet-rabbit

(replace * with w)

Will probably look out for more info before trying it though
