how sad am I! I foster buns for the rspca and i have just bonded a single one to someones else's. all was well and i took them to their new home today. i feel sooooooo sad, i can't stop crying, i know it will be a good home, but keep thinking the worst, like what if they don't look after them like i do!

i will miss this bun so much as she was in our conservatory for a while, i didn't realise how close i was to her until i had to say goodbye:cry::cry:

Aww! She will have a great home! I know you feel sad, but you have got to remember, at least she has got a forever home now:)

awww it must be a very difficult thing to have to let them go to a new home once you have bonded with them. Im sure she has gone to a great home. Sending you a hug.

Sending hugs :) I know how you feel  I just think I have helped the much loved foster bunnies to a new happy, loving, fabulous life :) I still  though

Maybe the new family could keep in touch with you and send apic now nagain-are you allowed to ask them? I'm sure they wouldn't mind. -Sue:)

Thank goodness for people like you!! :D
You can help so many more Bunnies if you are strong enough to let each one move on to a forever home.
I wish I could do what you have done

WELL DONE and heres to your next Fosterbuns :D

When I took my last foster bun (Rogers brother) back to the rescue I was really upset.
I gave him a last cuddle and put him in the really long hutch that is fixed at head height on the wall, and as I was closing the door he ran past me and sprayed me right in the face:lol: My hands were filthy as well as I'd been mucking out all morning, and I had a waterproof coat on so I couldn't wipe it:mrgreen:. I though that was real gratitude:lol:

He was rehomed within a few weeks with a nice girly bun so that goes a good way to making it easier.
I couldn't take his brother back though:oops:

I doubt it will ever be really easy to say goodbye as they creep into your heart without even realising it, but it's great that she has a permanent home lined up and the socialising you have done with her will make a real difference.:D

It's always hard to let the foster bunnies go when you've loved them and cared for them but it does get easier after a few days. You miss them loads to start with but you have to think that they are being loved by someone else and bringing them happiness.

thanks everyone, i do feel a little better this morning but it will take time. yes i can keep in touch wih the new owners,i will do a post home check in about 6 weeks anyway.

it's mad isn't it you know they are going to a good home but you still feel so sad.
My mum does puppy walking for the guide dogs so she gets a pup at about 8 weeks and then trains them and about 12-18 months later they move on to more intensive training. she crys for days when they have gone. she carrys on doing it and is now on her 17 puppy!

it must be in my gene's:D
