You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

New Kit
Hi there! I am new here and a new mom to 2 bunnies. I got a dwarf dutch about 2 months ago so shes about 2 1/2 months old now. I also just recently adopted another 2 year old male rabbit. Neither are fixed so they are in different rooms at the moment.

The baby female will not litter train at all. She goes to the restroom all over her cage, not in just one specific location. When I put a litter box in her cage she drags it around and her cage, eats the litter, etc. I have tried to get the litter box when I see her doing this and put it back where it goes, I have tried scooping some of her poo into it so she could get the hint, etc. When I see her eating I move her over to her food bowl. Any suggestions?

The 2 year old male I just noticed has two patches of hair missing on his hind legs. The skin looks fine, no sores or anything, but the spots are pretty big. He is a long hair so just looking at him you can't tell it until you start moving his hair around back there. Thoughts?

Thanks!

I am sure your female will be fine when she has been spayed:D
Alot of rabbits have little fur on their hocks. Some do get sore which you should keep an eye on.If the skin looks fine then thats ok:D

AlbionLass: No I got the dwarf 2 months ago when she was only 6 weeks old, so I guess that would make her a little over 3 months. Sorry for the mis-type.

Becca: Thanks for the info. Would you recommend having both the male and the female fixed?
