  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

:wave:Hi Everyone!
I was just wondering how much the myxomatosis jab is in your area's?
I phoned a vet earlier and they said it would be £26 each, i thought this was more expensive to what i paid last year, but im not 100%
Thanks Jayne

I just paid £18.70 for both Myxi and VHD and thats near Wrexham for my new bun. They are more expensive than that here in Sheffield tho

Ours are now £16.50 each. If it is time for your VHD and myxi some do a deal if you are paying for both (2 weeks apart, not at the same time) :D

£14.45 each at my vets, when I took just one rabbit. When I took the other four together I was charged a total of £112 for both jabs, that is £14 per jab. Not bad compared to what some of you have had to pay.

i just paid £84 for 3 lots (£27.99 each) and that's WITH a 15% discount! My vets are thieves.

When I first got Charlie they charged £8 for myxo vaccs... *sigh* those were the days!
