Help!
My newly adopted bunny has been holding his front leg up the past day...He is eating, drinking, pooping and weeing as normal, and he is still happy to move around alot except holding his leg up. He doesn't seem to be in any pain.
This is confusing me greatly, i picked him up to examine his leg and when i felt it on what would be his elbow joint (i guess) there is a big lump. I blew gently onto the lump and there is a brusied looking spot on it. I am aware the lump could be swelling and am taking him to the vet in the morning but could it be an abscess??? I have not had any experience with abscesses in Bunnies so am not sure what i am looking at or even if i am looking at one.
As far as i am aware, he has not hurt himself since being here (since friday). He had only come into the rescue the day before that so i am thinking if he had been bitten or wounded then it would have become an abscess?
Am defo getting him to the vet tomorrow morning, for now i have confined him to his cage incase he has injured it so that he won't put any strain on it.
