and heres a picture of him with the sky remote for a comparison picci.
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j235/coco1200/rabbitandskyremote.jpg

hes pretty hefty at the moment, so i guess hes going to be rotund when hes older!!

the owners excuse for gettin rid of him was that he wasnt pure....

didnt seem in the best of conditions this morning.
hes skittish and quite jumpy at the moment, but i think thats expected for a rabbit in a new enviroment.

but im in total love with him (L)(L)

thanks so much for the comments!
im kinda proud that i have such a popular rabbit :lol::lol:

is it normal for you to hear giants breathing?
his breathing is quite loud, but only if im closer to his face.

my last rabbit had this and he had lung problems and needed a few antibiotic jabs.

:love::love::love:Love giants, and he's gorgeous.
Typical male though. Only in the house five minutes and already hogging the remote control:lol:

I've 2 giants and never hear them breathing, so don't think it's normal.
Maybe it's worth getting the 'once over' at the vets and get him checked:D

What a beauty ! Be careful putting the remote near him, some rabbits are partial to biting off the buttons (Charlie is one of those rabbits )

Where did you get him from? He is gorgeous. I am looking about for giant rabbit breeders at the moment and also looking at the rabbit rehoming site.

Giants do come up in rescue fairly frequently, so it's definitely worth checking with rescues and on RR.

I have a Conti x Frenchie from rescue. And two other large bunnies (French Lop and an Argente Champagne) that are rescues too. Previously I had a British Giant and another Conti x Frenchie from rescue too. So they do come up.

I can't hear any of my giants/large rabbits breath, so it is probably worth checking it out just in case.

i can only really hear him when im close up to his face, when ive got hold of him in my arms..
other than that, no i cant hear him.
also, is it normal for you to see part of his third eyelid?

i got him from a breeder, who bought him as a pure conti, but she didnt want him anymore becuase she found out it was a cross.
oh well, her loss! ive just gained a beautiful rabbit.
to be quite fair, he didnt seem he was being treated fairly when i collected him.
this woman had mounds of rabbits, hutches filled with alot of them.
she bred them to show them in competitions.
he had a lot of dirt in his fur and was in a normal sized hutch that you would get for a small rabbit

Super bun, but I wouldn't trust him with the houseplant in the second pic, he might think it is a tasty morsel when your not looking.
My outdoor buns have eaten every leaf of everything in my garden. (Nothing poisonous I hasten to add.)

hi guys,
went to the vets today and he gave oscar the all clear :)
he said his breathing is completley fine and its probably due to his size...

he gave him an antibiotic just in case.
his neutering will be booked next week!!
