The Range

I have just been into The Range to get some bits and was horrified at the size of the cages for sale for rabbits!! There was even a 2ft cage with a picture of a rabbit on. They had 3ft cages with absolutely no head room with pics of three baby buns in, that in my opinion is not setting a very good example, i would put a baby guinea pig in cages those sixes they must have only been a foot high :evil::censored:

It doesnt sell livestock but sells bedding, food, cages ect. Im really quite shocked, i havent seen hutches that small :(

Their outdoor wooden cages are really poor quality too, I had a look at one and I thought it was going to fall apart when I opened the door!

OMG, I nearly cried too when I saw the hutches in there! My poor hubbie had to listen to me ranting for ages afterwards :oops:

Thats terrible! Even advertised as a 'double' hutch I see.
Mine is small, but still bigger than that, and the run attached is large but I still feel they need a bigger one, even though neither of them spend much time inside. Lots of people just take the shop's word for it that it's suitable. I lose count of how many times Ive heard "but there's laws, they wouldn't be allowed to sell them if it wasn't ok"

Yep but the there was one smaller than that and the 3ft one had no bottom bit!!

I'm telling you, that is spacious compared to one i saw in ours last week, my hamster has a bigger house, It was soooooo tiny, and they call it a hutch, a guinea pig would fit in the bedroom compartment JUST, and I'm not kidding.
I was ranting a raving too
