Hi,
No, they chew all food with the back molars but they do use different jaw motions depending on what they are eating. They use their incisors to cut up food and chewing is done at the back of the mouth. When eating rabbit mix or pellets they use a chomping motion, i.e up and down....when they are eating veg/roughage/hay they use a circular motion and it is this motion that is responsible for wearing down the molars.

Agree with Charlie82 - also carrots only only good to help wear down the front teeth, when chomping on them they use the up and down motion with their molars.
