I have a rabbit coming back to me as her new husbun wouldn't accept her. Could I please ask what other rescues do in this circumstance with regards to paperwork? Do you just tear up the adoption papers or do you sign the rabbit back in as though it were coming to you for the first time? Thanks

Ooohhh I have questions:lol::lol:

What do you all do with regards the intake form if it is a person claiming to have found the bunny?

Do you all scan for micro-chipping when the rabbit/s arrive?

What happens if the true owner comes forward wanting their bunny back as surely the intake form is null and void if the true owner did not sign over the rabbit? Not that their legally binding anyway but if proof of ownership is established and you deem the rabbits original home un-suitable, what do you do?

ARC have a details of ownership section where people have to tick if they are :
I am the owner
I am the person acting for and responsible to the the owner
I am the person reporting or hading in a known stray

If the animal is a stray and the owner comes forward the animal has to be handed back to the legal owner. If their home is deemed to be unsuitable for whatever reason there is little that can be done apart from offering advise.

ARC also have a section for Donation and option to gift aid their donation.

There is also a section which says how did you hear about ARC.

All our forms have to be countersigned by a witness so that it is known who has accepted the animal into our care. This is probably not relevent with a rescue which is run by one person but important if others are involved.
