  • Please Note - Medical Advice

    Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

    You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

    We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

    Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

OMG - Me wants:D:D:D:D:D He's gorgeous, me must have:lol::lol::lol:

Right, you are doing all the right things at the moment - keeping him warm and dry, making sure he can get to food and water :)

Best thing for him is lots of rest as he could have just pulled something whilst running around crazy - so although he is eating fine and is looking great, a lot of that can be down to the injection that he had.

Rest is the key here, if he has pulled something then the more he rests the better it will get. Having feeling in his feet is a great sign :)

He may require another injection in a few days but other than that, he may just go onto metacam which you can wean off him slowly over the days. I would also go with a 6 week course of Panacur just incase he has Ec although I still think its an injury more than a parasite - but it's best to cover all angles :)

Give him a huge kiss from me, I love him to bits - he is just stunning:D
