ignore the sore eye that is going to be dealt with but these 2 came in to the rescue today and they are so cute but the lady was told they are lilac ruks and will be just slightly smaller than a giant, they are £12 wks old and have already doubled in size
 
Not sure about the Breed but is that conjunctivitis bilateral?
Are they Myxo vaccinated and in isolation?

Whats wrong with the eye Elaine? Might be jumping the gun here but its not myxi is it? :? Dont know about the breed sorry X
 
They look like they're of breeder origin :?

i know it might sound daft but could it be an allergy to shavings their on?or were their eyes like that wen you got them?x
 
Is there any way you can put them in isolation until they have seen a vet? And maybe one of you care for just those & someone else look after the rest? I'd have them here if I didnt have Rhia...Just the eye looks so myxi like..:( Really really hoping its not X
 
Awww bless. I have no idea about the eye.

When I first saw the pic I thought they looked a bit like white hares - just the pointly muzzle (Sp??) and ears.....

no that is one of my old cages that is being replaced once my new block arrives, they are all well used to say the least
 
I have seen a rabbit like that but dont have time to look it up in one of my books, will try and look later:)

oh right I thought they had done it..as quite often a new bun will redecorate their surroundings quite quickly!:lol:
Has anyone discovered the correct breed? they are very unusual
 
had a look and found nothing for lilac ruks but would hazzard a guess and say argente or possibly a beveren but more argente:) Both being large rabbits:) Did you ask where the owner got them from so you could see if it was a breeder and what they were specialising in?
 
they are lilacs had it confirmed today and the stupid pet shop they are bucks not thrucks (bangs head on wall)
