Poor Foster-Bun Lulu- *WARNING Some Yucky Pics*

Jack's-Jane

Wise Old Thumper
Lulu was very obese when she came into the care of ARC. Thanks to Katie7 and her Mum Lulu has lost weight but she now has lots of excess skin around her genitals. When she poos it all gets stuck in the skin folds, as does her wee

She has to be cleaned up constantly

and then a barrier cream applied to try to prevent her skin becoming sore

Next week Lulu is having corrective surgery to get rid of the excess skin and she will also be spayed. Hopefully she will then be a much happier Bunny as at the moment she is not only all mucky several times a day but she is having an ongoing pseudo-pregnancy

Awwww bless her, Ozzy looked exactly like that with the excess skin, but worse, after he was castrated as he was such a large boy:oops::oops::oops::oops: The vet told me to leave the skin to see if it contracted itself without having to have further surgery. Luckily after 2 months the skin shrunk, unfortunately LuLu bless her has a different reason for her excess skin. I hope all goes well for her Jane, poor little girl she will feel a lot better afterwards.

Aw poor Lulu. So that excess skin is a result of carrying too much weight? Poor girl. How do you clean it all off just with cotton wool n water? is she well behaved while you do it or is it a battle?!
Hope she recovers well and feels better after her spey x x

Awww bless her... its a good idea to have the excess skin removed when she's spayed, a bit like a bunny tummy tuck. Hope shes all better soon. :)

poor little sweetheart... how terrible to not be able to keep clean must really really be horrible for such clean creatures :cry:

hope all goes well when shes operated on xxxxx

Hope all goes well and it doesn't encourage her to want more 'plastic surgery' - liposuction around the neck or her nose tidying or a nice tidy tail shape!:p

Had this op done on a couple of does over the years that have come through here.

Both does went on to live very happy muck free lives :) hope it all goes well for her and she recovers as well as the ones here did. :)
