This is the best I can find:

CONCERNS AND CAUTIONS

Ivermectin use in pregnancy and lactation is not felt to be a problem.

Here we go:

When given to mice, rats, and rabbits in repeated doses of 0.2, 8.1, and 4.5 times the maximum recommended human dose, respectively, ivermectin was found to be teratogenic. Teratogenicity occurred at or near doses that were maternotoxic in these animals. Therefore, ivermectin does not appear to be selectively fetotoxic to the developing fetus in mice, rats, and rabbits. {34}

If you phone your vets they will be able to get in touch with the manufacturer for you

Anneke thinks its safe? But they are callling the manufacturers to check. Its not licensed for rabbits anyway though :?

Did your vets suggest an alternative?

I've used it on pregnant does and on youngsters with no problems. Vets and manufactures are unlikely to stick their neck out as it's not even licensed for rabbits.

If the need is there then give it.

Its safe Angie at low doses. They faxed through a study of the use of Ivermectin in rabbits and GPs.

However its based n the subcutaneous use not topical, and the dose must be accurate so the rabbits need weighing.

Im going to get them both jabbed this afternoon.

I have always given it to mine orally. 0.2mls and repeated a week later if needs be. Has always worked whether for contis or guinea pigs ;)

Think I will stick to my vets and the manufacturers advice, especially as I have only ever used SC or topical Ivermectin. Thanks anyway.
