Meet Sandy

http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/7821/sandyuk8.jpg

She is a 3/4 year old female bunny. She came into care last September due to the owner downsizing. She has a hearing problem but it doesn't seem to affect her. She was fine before she was rehomed, but when she was put with the male, she kept bullying him. Well is the story we were told, and as any rescue people know, sometimes it's the individuals lack of experience rather than the rabbit that can cause a problem. Where she's at, we don't have any males to try her with at the moment either.

Since she's come back from the last home, she has been more touchy and bad tempered. We're not sure why, maybe she liked company and is now narked at being alone again.

We feel there are two options for her. The first being that she needs to be taken on by an experienced rabbit owner who can oversee bonding properly, or the second being that she can be a single house rabbit.

Can anyone out there help Sandy?

I've looked at her a few times as my bertie needs a new lady friend. Is she the one who doesn't like being shut in? as bertie has to be shut in his playhouse at night. He hates it though and it takes me ages to encourage him in. I'm sure it's because he hates being alone. :( During the day he can see other rabbits

No, she's living in an outdoor hutch at the moment, so she doesn't mind being shut in. I think it's more about teaching her how to behave with a boy. She a little over zealous and needs to learn that she should behave with some dignity and restraint

Sandy is beautiful, such a lovely colour. I would love to take her on but I'm not experienced enough as I've never tried bonding buns before. Hope she finds her forever home soon :)

We have decided to rehome Sandy as a single house rabbit now as we can't seem to find a boy that will settle with her (or that she'll get along with). I think all round it will be eaiser for her to be a single house bun.

I really hope Sandy finds her forever home, wished i had more room, but very unlikely that Poppy would share:oops::lol: Shes a lovely looking girl. My other bun Roo used to be so aggresive, moody but is really calm natured now, it just needs someone with time on their hands to give to this lovely girl.Good Luck.x

I'm close to giving up on this one. Someone reserved her on an evening and then un-reserved her the next morning
