Ok my new bunny is a week or so off from coming so the lady and i was chatting lastnight and has one boy and one girl still left is it silly of me to get another one just yet and from the same litter ?
If not, what do you recommend boy or girl i am getting a girl and both will be de-sexed so that wont be a problem ..
I do plan on adding another eventually anyway that is why i ask if its better now or wait.

Rabbits are happier living with another of it's kind as they are very sociable animals. I intend getting 2 from the same litter in a few weeks time myself.
Do you have a big enough cage to house two? - If not can you buy a larger one when they grow?
How will you seperate them if they begin to fight before being neutered/after neuter in the case of boy/girl combo.?
Will you be able to meet vet costs for 2 comfortably?
I think you should mentally go through the questions above and make your decision based on your answers.
Good luck and I hope that you make the right desicion for you.:)

Can you get 2 boys from the same litter living happily or can their hormones even disrupt this combo?

I was of the impression (though I've not done it yet CRBevis and am only going on what I've read) that any combo. can fight/not get on but that neutering/spaying is a good bet in trying to get any 2 rabbits living happily together.
That was my understanding any-ho!

i wouldnt suggest a boy girl pair if they are going to live together straight away. the boys bits dropping can come as a suprise, resulting in VERY poorly babies. incest babies are a terrible thing to let happen even by accident.

All good points thanks .
Yes my yard is adjusted for seperation , not a problem here that is for sure :)Nether is vet or costs , housing is plenty big enough having one made to suit an area of my yard that is safe and sound .
I was leaning towards two girls myself and i do stress they will be desexed i can see the danger of boy /girl being litter mates ..
Yep some thinking to do but great advice everyone i love this forum and enjoying learning thanks all.
