View Full Version : Freecycle Bun needs a forever home
Posted on behalf of GregTheBunny
I collected little shiver today from a freecycler who didnt want the hassle of vetting people to find him a good home. I was told that they got him on christmas eve as he was unwanted by the previous owner, although one of their children said that he was only 10 weeks old :?

This is advice not criticism...
first if you've taken in an unknown bun..please make sure you keep him away from your 2 and wash hands thoroughly between handling him and yours.
also are you going to homecheck..?
Neuter him and vacs before rehoming? ..Could be a good idea to stop him being put in a situation where an "accidental" litter could appear:?
Just some advice:D It's great you wanted to help him but do remember quarantine.
I'm sure he'll home sooon as he is cute.

Aww yes thanks Jill, he is inside as thats where he was kept at his last house, so is well away from my buns, and having a little girl, washing hands after handling has always been on the cards!!
I will definately homecheck, otherwise there would be no point in me taking from the last owners that were happy for him to go just anywhere as long as it wasnt their house, but unfortunately i am not in a position to be vacc and neutering him myself but will be keeping a check on the progress of him with his new mummy/daddy to make sure that he is done. I realise that this isnt ideal but will do everything I can to make sure that his new home is educated. :D
I have also offered to be a fosterer for pawsforthought locally, so hopefully with more rescue place available in the future these buns will be rehomed properly :D
